Registered Holistic Nutritionist

Susan is originally from Switzerland where she met her Canadian husband whilst working at a global agribusiness company in Geneva. She then studied at the University of Brighton (U.K.) where she received her Nursing Diploma. As a nurse she has worked on a variety of wards, such as surgical, medical, gynecological and palliative care.

After a couple of years, they moved to Brazil, where she completed her Bachelor of Science and Social Studies through the Open University (U.K.). During this time, she also carried out volunteer work in an orphanage school for low income families in Sao Paulo. During her stay in Brazil, Susan enjoyed going to various local markets and discovering the flavors and foods of Brazil.

As a family Susan equally lived in the U.S., Argentina, United Kingdom – all of these countries have had an influence on Susan’s view of nutrition and food in general.

When their daughter was diagnosed as being gluten and dairy intolerant, Susan decided to take a new approach to health and trained as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, with the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where she graduated in 2016. The family finally moved to Ottawa in 2017 (after 30 years – her husband could no longer stay away from home) and is very happy to finally call Ottawa home after so many years of travelling.

Throughout the years, Susan has volunteered and worked combining her nursing skills and her love for food to help others improve their health.

Athletic Therapist and Personal Trainer

Megan obtained her Athletic Therapy certification after 4 years at Sheridan College. She played Varsity volleyball and also covered the Toronto Scottish Rugby team for the remainder of her Sheridan experience.

When she returned back to Ottawa, she worked with Kinemedics, an orthopedic bracing and medical supplies company while continuing her clinical and field work. In 2013 she ventured to Edinbrugh, Scotland and worked with Stewarts Melville Rugby Club on the field, with performance artists in the clinic, and played for the Edinburgh Jets volleyball Club.

Upon returning to Canada in 2016, she continued with clinical and field work but also started working with elderly and geriatric populations in long term care, which she found extremely rewarding. She remained with long term care until uOttawa Football was seeking an Athletic Therapist. She remained the head therapist and assistant to uOttawa for 2 years prior to Covid.

When sports were closed, she worked as a clinic manager at a physio clinic prior to discovering Chartier Physiothérapy. The gym space and philosophy resonated with her passions of getting people moving in a safe and open manner. She likes to “keep it simple” when it comes to exercises and goals to be attained. Megan believes in the importance of prehabilitation, helping patients use rehab exercises to prevent injuries.

She loves working with pre and post-surgical patients (ACL, Total Hip, Total Knees) and is no stranger to high contact injuries and how to navigate around them safely. She custom makes knee braces for ACL and OA affected patients out of Chartier Physiothérapy and can help consult on off the shelf bracing options as well.

When she is not advocating for physical health, she is playing or coaching volleyball, camping or enjoying the outdoors! She loves helping people who want to be active and achieve those goals.

Sophie is a fluently bilingual physiotherapist who emphasizes evidence-based practices. As a self-described “body detective,” she treats the body as a whole to provide relief to specific problem areas, and aims to provide each client with the tools to heal or cope with their ailment.

As a former research assistant with a Master’s degree in microbiology, she was drawn to physiotherapy because of its marriage of physical manipulation with intellectual thinking. She found that her sensitivity has allowed her to grow into an intuitive physiotherapist. Working with Nathalie has allowed Sophie to provide personalized treatment to her clients. She cares for every client differently, even those with the same diagnosis, based on their specific needs.
